Green Living

When we partner with buyers to create their dream homes, our singular focus is to deliver a new home with the most lifelong energy cost savings, the highest level of craftsmanship and the greatest comfort. Our homes can save up to 2 mortgage payments in energy costs each year, and far outperform homes built as recently as 2007, let alone homes that are decades old.

Enjoy up to 50% Energy Savings—
and a more comfortable home!

Piedmont uses the Home Energy Rating System (HERS), a rating system used by homebuilders nationwide, to measure our homes’ overall efficiency levels. We also put more energy and cost saving components into our homes than other builders put into theirs, so Piedmont’s new homes easily outperform homes from our competitors when it comes to saving money every month on energy usage.

Our homes are also uniquely authentic in their architecture, of a clearly higher level in overall quality and materials, and are built with particular attention to detailing and comfort. When a home is built to last this long, its style should be long-lasting, too.

On an average 2,500 sq. foot home, Piedmont owners can enjoy $1,500 annual savings—more than $2,000 annually from a home built in 1996 or earlier.

The Home Energy Rating System (HERS)
What’s your new home’s HERS Index?

The HERS® Index is the standardized rating system to determine a home’s energy efficiency, used today by the U.S. homebuilding industry.

The LOWER the index number, the BETTER a home’s energy efficiency and lifetime cost savings.
